The district will utilize a translator to provide information in other languages than English upon request and will provide equitable access and accommodations for any person with a disability who requests access to the ESSER III plan or provide input into the ESSER III grant.
PUBLIC NOTICE ESSER III
Leon ISD intends to apply for the ESSER III Grant for the first round of the
district's allocation of $818,487. These funds will be used according to
allowable uses which includes:
1. Address learning loss of students during school closures,
2. Prepare schools for reopening,
3. Testing, repairing, and upgrading projects to improve indoor air
quality and reduce risk of virus transmission, and
4. Allowable costs under ESEA, IDEA, AEFLA, and Carl Perkins
CTE.
Public input into the district's grant application is requested and can be
submitted by attending the Regular Board Meeting on June 14, 2021 at
6:00 p.m. in the Leon ISD Board Room or completing an online survey that
is located on the school’s website under District Information tab. Leon ISD
website can be found at www.leonisd.net .
